About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer to support our customers in the deployment and use of advanced TCAD (Technology Computer-Aided Design) and EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software tools. You will work closely with government research labs, private semiconductor companies, and academic institutions to ensure the successful adoption, usage, and optimization of our simulation and design tools. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support and training for TCAD and EDA tools to customers across academia, industry, and government sectors. Assist in pre-sales technical discussions , product demonstrations , and proof-of-concept simulations . Work with customers to understand design and simulation requirements and recommend suitable tool flows. Lead generation and timely follow-up with customers! Develop and customize example decks , design kits , and user guides based on customer needs. Attend and represent the company at technical conferences, workshops, and customer review meetings. Maintain long-term relationships by providing timely support, troubleshooting, and solution updates. Qualifications B.E./M.E./Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, Microelectronics, or related field. 1–5 years of experience in semiconductor device simulation (Synopsys Sentaurus, Silvaco Atlas, COMSOL, nextnano, etc.) and/or EDA tools (Cadence, Mentor, etc.). Understanding of semiconductor physics , device fabrication , and process/device simulation workflows . Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python , TCL , or Perl . Strong communication skills to interact effectively with a wide range of clients. Ability to travel for customer visits, technical support, and events (~10–20%). Preferred Skills Experience supporting or teaching TCAD/EDA tools in academic or industry settings. Exposure to GDS layout tools , SPICE modeling , or parameter extraction workflows. Qualifications: Master's or PhD degree in Applied Mechanics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or any related fields of engineering and physics. Possess 5+ years of strong Semiconductor process integration experience, driving structure specs, yield pareto issues for a product with hands-on (beginner level) experience in 3D semiconductor structure model building tools like Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor, and Silvaco. Understanding of analysis techniques like TEM/SEM/TDS and metrology techniques like Ellipsometry/WIS/Image based defect analysis. Experience with data analysis tools and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Python, MATLAB, TensorFlow). Experience with HPC on Linux environment Experience with computational geometry and mesh generation techniques is an added advantage. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
