The MPS Rotating Equipment Engineering Team Lead is a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer responsible for managing and developing a team of Rotating Equipment Engineers. You will be assigned to a project or proposal execution and will carry out the responsibilities of the MPS Rotating Equipment Engineer. Your activities will include equipment sizing, selection, procurement support, review of engineering documents, and communication with vendors for all types of rotating equipment. It is essential to stay updated with Industry Codes and Guidelines related to rotating equipment. You must meet project expectations promptly within budget limits and collaborate internally to provide required project deliverables. Additionally, you will support commissioning and maintenance of rotating equipment for Production Facilities. Your role involves monitoring and assessing engineering performance and quality, providing feedback for improvement to your direct reports. You will also assist the MPS Mechanical Engineering Management in assessing team skills/competencies and creating individual development plans. Supporting recruitment and conducting technical interviews will be part of your responsibilities. Maintaining state-of-the-art knowledge in sizing and selecting rotating/packaged equipment such as pumps, compressors, and other packages used in plant and field facilities is crucial. As a lead mechanical rotating engineer on projects/proposals, you will ensure on-time delivery of project documentation as per Master Document List (MDL). Preparation of datasheets, technical specifications, requisitions, bid evaluations, and supervision of third-party engineering contractors and vendors will be required. You should be proficient in CAPEX and OPEX cost analysis for determining the life cycle cost of equipment. Utilizing computer-assisted vendor sizing tools, performing power requirement calculations, attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and providing support to processing facilities on engineering/technical matters are part of your responsibilities. Participation in 3D model reviews, HAZOP, and SIL studies, collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, fabricators, and third-party inspection agencies, as well as active support of the company's HSSE program are essential. During the Sale/Tender Phase, tasks will include Sub-Contractor/Vendor Evaluation, Equipment configuration finalization, MDL & Schedule. In the Execution Phase, responsibilities will involve Project Audits, Engineering execution on time and budget, and Vendor & Client meetings. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of rotating equipment with a strong engineering background, mastery in interpreting and applying industry international codes and standards, proven experience in handling API pumps and compressors, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and strong leadership and communication skills. This position is located in Coimbatore and requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering along with 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.,
