We are seeking an experienced Signalling Engineer with preferred experience in ducting / cablecontainment design to support the delivery of complex rail projects in Sweden. You will lead thedevelopment of signalling cable routes, containment systems, and associated design deliverables, ensuring seamless integration with civil works and full compliance with Swedish and Europeanrail standards.
Responsibilities
Signalling Systems Design
? Develop detailed designs for signalling systems (e.g., interlocking interfaces, linesideequipment, axle counters/track circuits, ERTMS/ETCS Level 2 assets).? Produce and review schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, termination details, and I/O lists for signalling equipment rooms (SERs/TSRs) and lineside cabinets.? Ensure systems integration with telecom, power, and SCADA where applicable.
Ducting & Cable Containment
? Preliminary, and detailed design of cable routes, duct banks, trench paths, route markers,manholes/pull boxes, cable ladders/trays, and protective conduits across open track, stations, bridges, and tunnels.? Develop cable routing drawings (plans, profiles, cross-sections), typical details, andinstallation method statements aligned to Swedish practice and CENELEC.
Coordination & Assurance
? Coordinate closely with civil, track, structures, and utilities to avoid clashes and optimizeconstructability.? Conduct clash detection, buildability reviews, and site surveys (including walkouts and asbuilt verification).? Contribute to and comply with BIM Execution Plans (BEP); maintain accurate asset datafor BIM/asset registers.?
