Role Overview: As the Design Authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity, your role involves completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects efficiently and in compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. You will be responsible for preparing Protection principle SLD, Schematics substation layouts, sections, Bill of materials, RFQs, vetting vendor offers, estimating engineering hours, visiting project sites, conducting technical risk assessments, and evaluating opportunities. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams including Engineering Leads, Tendering team, Project managers, SCM, Secondary and civil/steel design functions, consultants, and end customers to provide necessary support for each project or tender. Key Responsibilities: - Review Tender documents, technical specifications, and prepare design intent document - Prepare protection SLD showing principles, relays, and meters - Develop Functional Design Standards/Descriptions - Create Signal list, trip matrix, Logics & Interlocks - Review vendor drawings and documents for Control & Relay panels and Auxiliary System - Prepare schematic diagrams for interface equipment in Control & Relay Panel scheme - Generate relay ordering information and circuit diagrams for New & Existing Set-up - Develop Cable block diagram, Cable Schedule, and BoQ estimation - Create Wiring/Termination diagrams, Core sheets, and SCS IO Schedule - Provide Panel Engineering Expertise including layouts, circuit diagrams, wiring tables, and terminal tables - Conduct Voltage drop calculation for Trip & Close coil, LVAC power cable - Identify existing drawings and modify them using Red and Green markups - Possess interface knowledge with Primary Equipment, Bay Controller Units, SCADA, RTU, and Tele protection - Design Auxiliary Power System components like Low Voltage AC Panel, DC Panel, Aux Tr, Battery & Charger Sizing, ACDC Cable sizing, and CB selectivity study - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines - Participate in customer meetings and site visits for tender/project clarifications Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - 5-8 years of relevant experience - Proficiency in technical risk and opportunity assessment and validation - Proficiency in spoken and written English language (Note: The company's core values include safety and integrity, emphasizing responsibility for actions, caring for colleagues, and adherence to business ethics.),

As a Senior Electrical Engineer within our team, you will be responsible for preparing proposals and developing scopes, which includes conceptual designs and execution plans. You will play a lead technical role in P&C design projects ranging from 11kV up to 400kV, and you may also act as the senior Engineer on project teams when necessary. Your primary tasks will involve generating engineering cost and man-hour estimates, as well as schedules. You will be expected to produce detailed electricity substation P&C design packages that comply with required client and technical standards (IEC/IEEE etc.). This includes designing protection and control systems, such as Relay one-line diagrams, schematics diagrams, wiring diagrams, front view diagrams, SCADA architecture, signal lists, and cable schedules. You should also be capable of updating equipment drawings based on the scheme for Rind bus, one and a half breaker, and two bus systems. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing calculations and reports for engineering studies, such as voltage drop analysis, AC/DC load studies, and other relevant studies. You will facilitate coordination of design activities across different departments, including Civil/Structural and Physical Engineers. Regular design reviews, virtual meetings, and close collaboration with clients will be part of your routine tasks. As part of the team, you will also coordinate with team members to monitor project schedules and ensure the delivery of high-quality work. Collaboration with the US Energy Engineering Team and WSP US Office is essential for effective project execution. Your role will involve providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, as well as developing and enhancing processes, tools, and potentially implementing new technologies into the design process. Maintaining a Safety by Design approach on all projects is crucial. You will be expected to conduct periodic quality checks for other engineers and designers, and exhibit ingenuity, foresight, and wise decision-making skills to proactively identify and resolve challenges. Your contribution to departmental tools and workflows aimed at improving the effectiveness of design processes, specification development, and project implementation is highly valued. Participation in training sessions and meetings dedicated to addressing targeted organizational initiatives is encouraged to contribute to the progress and growth of the team.
