Signal and Power Integrity Engineer

As a Signal and Power Integrity Engineer at Cisco in Bangalore, you will be a part of the Common Hardware Group (CHG) that designs and delivers routers for leading service providers and large enterprises. Your role will involve: - Delivering system-level signal and power integrity solutions for high-speed systems, boards & packages. - Developing SI rules, reviewing design implementation, building test plans, and documenting characterization & measurement reports. - Improving design margins through interconnect, timing, and crosstalk analysis, 3D EM & channel simulations. - Designing test structures & channel models to correlate simulations with measurements for Serdes and interconnects. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams including HW, PCB Layout, SW, MFG, and ASIC. Additionally, you will be responsible for electrical characterization and verification of Transmitter/Receiver SERDES settings to meet industry standards and Cisco requirements. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. - 3+ years of hardware design experience with emphasis on Signal and Power Integrity. - Hands-on experience with lab measurements using real-time scope, sampling scope, Spectrum analyzer, VNA & TDR. - Good understanding of EM and transmission line concepts, timing, jitter, crosstalk, noise, channel modeling, and power delivery. Experience with 56G PAM4, 25G & 10G NRZ Serdes technologies, DDR, and PCB stack-up design is preferred. Proficiency with simulation and analysis tools like ADS, HFSS, HSPICE, Sisoft QSI, QCD, Cadence Allegro, PowerSI, MATLAB, and Hyperlynx is also desired.
