The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer plays a vital role in creating engaging digital experiences by utilizing AEM capabilities effectively. Your primary responsibility will involve customizing and implementing the AEM platform to cater to specific business needs. Working closely with product managers, UX designers, and fellow developers, you will participate in designing, developing, testing, and delivering scalable solutions. As organizations strive for robust digital platforms, your role as an AEM Developer is crucial in ensuring that content management and delivery systems adhere to best practices, performance standards, and security guidelines. Your efforts will directly impact customer engagement, content workflows optimization, and user satisfaction through seamless website experiences. Additionally, you will be accountable for troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring timely feature deployments while complying with industry standards. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop AEM components, templates, and workflows. - Implement AEM functionalities such as content authoring and asset management. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for AEM projects. - Integrate AEM with third-party services and applications using APIs. - Write and maintain Java code, utilizing OSGi frameworks for AEM development. - Conduct unit testing and code reviews to uphold deliverable quality. - Monitor and enhance the performance of AEM applications to improve user experience. - Define and enforce best practices for AEM development across teams. - Assist in deploying AEM solutions in various environments. - Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing AEM implementations. - Document development processes, configuration changes, and guidelines. - Stay informed about AEM updates, trends, and industry best practices. - Train and mentor junior developers and content authors on AEM usage. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives. - Collaborate with the QA team to facilitate end-to-end testing of AEM functionality. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Demonstrated experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). - Proficiency in Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Familiarity with JSP, Servlets, and AEM's Sightly/HTL for templating. - Knowledge of OSGi framework and Apache Sling. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and web services (REST/SOAP). - Previous exposure to Agile development environments. - Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. - Sound understanding of front-end web technologies and coding practices. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and performance tuning techniques for AEM applications. - Minimum 5 years of web development experience focusing on AEM. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Software Developer to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences while ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability/reusability. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, set up, implement, and manage AEM-based web applications and components. - Customize and extend AEM functionalities using Java, Sightly/HTL, Sling, Servlets, OSGi, and other technologies. - Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate AEM with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks. - Develop and maintain templates, components, and workflows in AEM. - Work with business analysts to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions. - Optimize and troubleshoot AEM instances for performance, scalability, and security. - Integrate AEM with third-party tools, systems, and APIs. - Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes. - Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to team members. Required Skills and Qualifications: - 4-6 years of professional experience as an AEM Developer. - Strong proficiency in AEM 6.x architecture, components, templates, and workflows. - Hands-on experience with core Java, Sling Framework, OSGi Services R6 / R7 annotations, Sightly/HTL, and CRX repository. - Ability to create and utilize reusable AEM Content Fragments, CF Models and Experience Fragments. - Proficient with AEM Assets APIs and the Multisite Management Framework of AEM. - Familiarity with AEM As a Cloud Service. - Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and frameworks like React or Angular. - Experience integrating AEM with third-party services and APIs. - Ability to implement unit tests for AEM components, services, and functionalities using appropriate testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and AEM testing libraries. - Familiarity with API frameworks like REST. - Knowledge of version control systems such as Git/Bitbucket. - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. - Experience in Maven. - Able to work independently as well as collaborate with team members. - Strong communication skills. - Experience working with an agile development process. - Must be a team player and open to change.
