The role involves close coordination with engineering, procurement, production, and site teams to ensure alignment with client deadlines, resource availability, and project requirements. Key Responsibilities:Develop detailed project schedules using software like Primavera P6 or MS Project, covering design, procurement, fabrication, and erection stages. Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of schedules. Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly, identifying and mitigating potential delays. Prepare and update look-ahead schedules (weekly/monthly) and progress reports for internal teams and clients. Analyze fabrication drawings and material requirements to develop material take-offs and plan resource allocation. Liaise with procurement to track material delivery schedules and ensure alignment with fabrication timelines. Track KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, and timelines to optimize planning. Assist in forecasting manpower, equipment, and material requirements for upcoming phases. Participate in project review meetings and client coordination as required. Support planning of logistics, dispatch, and erection activities. Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards in planning-related documentation and execution. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 3–7 years of relevant experience in planning for steel fabrication or construction industries. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office Suite. Strong understanding of steel structures, fabrication processes, and project execution workflows. Ability to interpret fabrication and erection drawings. Familiarity with ERP systems used in manufacturing or construction (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.). Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is an advantage. Experience in large-scale industrial or infrastructure steel projects.
