Job Summary :

Experienced Siebel Developer with a strong background in the telecommunications sector to develop, configure, and implement robust Siebel CRM solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with telecom industry standards and driving operational efficiency.

Required Skill Set:

  • Expertise in Siebel CRM configuration (Views, Applets, Business Components) and scripting (eScript).
  • Proven experience with Siebel modules such as Account Management, Order Management, Product and Pricing and Assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of Siebel EAI, Integration Objects, Web Services, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database systems (Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with telecom processes (e.g., order-to-cash, service activation, billing).
  • Experience in Siebel Open UI customization (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
  • Experience with performance optimization, debugging tools, and Siebel debugging techniques.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Siebel Developer, with 2+ years in the telecommunications sector.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Role & responsibilities

Solution Development: Analyze telecom business requirements (e.g., order management, billing, customer care) and develop scalable Siebel CRM solutions using Siebel Tools and scripting.

Configuration & Customization: Configure and customize Siebel modules (e.g., Siebel Sales, Service, Communications, Order Management, Product and Pricing configuration) to meet business needs, including UI/Applet modifications, Business Component logic, and Assignment Manager setups.

Scripting & Automation: Develop Siebel workflows, business services, and complex automation logic using Siebel eScript, Workflow Policies, Business Rules and Siebel Open UI customization

Data Model Implementation: Optimize and maintain Siebel data models, ensuring performance, scalability, and alignment with telecom processes (e.g., service provisioning, billing integrations).

Integration Development: Build and deploy integrations between Siebel CRM and telecom systems (e.g., billing platforms, network provisioning tools) using REST, SOAP, EAI, and Web Services.

Technical Documentation: Create detailed documentation, including code specifications, integration details, and deployment guides.

Testing & Debugging: Conduct unit testing, troubleshoot defects, and support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Performance Tuning: Optimize Siebel application performance through code refactoring, indexing strategies, and SQL tuning.

Best Practices: Stay current with Siebel CRM updates, telecom trends, and DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).

Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues in production and non-production environments.
