JOB DESCRIPTION Job Role: Engineer Planning Mechanical SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB ROLE Job Role Variant: Engineering Planning Value Stream: Asset Operations Job Family: Manufacturing SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Planning maintenance jobs at Plant in coordination with Central Planning, Reliability, Plant Maintenance and Process/Operations SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE Responsibilities Plan and schedule all maintenance jobs at Plant in coordination with Central Planning, Reliability, Plant Maintenance and Process/Operations Plan and organise all resources (manpower, material, services, Pooled Assets etc.) for carrying out the jobs Implement Risk-based approach in routine maintenance planning Develop and issue Daily & Weekly maintenance schedules in consultation with Process/Operations and manage backlog Prepare the REAM Annual Plan and Budget for Plant in coordination/consultation with Maintenance and other functions Maintain multi-year plan for the Plant Synchronize PM/PdM, Changeover Schedules with the help of Central Planning, Process/Operations, Electrical and Instrumentation Modify Plan and Schedule as necessary to accommodate Resource constraints and other Unplanned/Emergency jobs Liaise with Central Planning for alignment and synchronization of Central and Plant Maintenance planning jobs Track and expedite implementation of Recommendations from RCA/Incident Investigation/APM/Audits etc. Review Daily LLF Reports/Maintenance and Process Log Books and identify new jobs Carry out Inventory Modelling and review/fix levels of plant-specific MRO Items on periodic basis Monitor stock of spares and other inventory on periodic basis and take needful actions Provide inputs to Reliability Groups on Maintenance Strategy/Plans for its effectiveness in reliability improvement and optimisation of maintenance Implement Work Order and related Management Process/Systems in CMMS and monitor usage Maintain current Job List in CMMS/Other Systems for Non-Shutdown, Opportunity Shutdown and Shutdown jobs Generate and own the MIS/Reports/KPIs for Plant Maintenance and provide inputs to Central Maintenance Review effectiveness of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling at Plant and provide inputs for improvement Support Turnaround/Shutdown Planning by Central Maintenance and monitoring of execution Implement and own Master Data and Technical Object Management at Plant Skill & Competencies Maintenance Management including Business Processes and Systems Strong Goal setting, Planning, Scheduling and organization skills including cross-functional understanding Good communication, reporting, inter-personal and networking skills Analytical thinking and skills for planning and decision making. Erection and Commissioning related activities for whole section including the following activities to complete the project as per bussiness schedule and targets Execution of Site work with time limit, quality and Safety Preparation of Erection Schedule for respective area integrated with inter department Supervision of Site Execution work including the drawing Study and co-relate with Civil, Mechanical Drawings and E&I drawings, detailed study of Equipment drawing with the GA and Erection drawings Equipment Handling during unloading and proper documentation with tracking Preparing documentation for the Equipment details as per the GA and Flow Sheet and floor wise detailing for the erection followup along with the deliveries Coordinate with Inter department for the inspection of Insert plates before the concrete pouring in all respective area Equipment Assembly and Erection supervision and coordination with the vendor for the Protocal making and Quality inspection documentation work Should have knowledge in the Material Handling equipments erection and commissioning like Belt Conveyor, Elevator, Chain Conveyor, Airslide, Screw Conveyors, Fans, Blowers, Compressors, Pollution control equipments and etc., Fabrication Schedule preparation and Boq preparation Structural and Plate work fabrication supervision and quality inspection Coordinate with Contractor for the man power planning and work distribution according to the schedule and highlighting the defficiency in work schedule. Crane Requirement planning and exploring suitable crane with the detailed study of crane load chart.

Lead the planning and execution of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all mechanical equipment in the CVRM section. Ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of mechanical issues affecting production. Monitor performance metrics (MTTR, MTBF, OEE) and drive improvements. Coordinate with Projects, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Utilities teams for smooth plant operations. Manage shutdowns and turnarounds planning, spares, manpower, safety protocols. Implement best practices in mechanical maintenance, including TPM, RCM, and 5S. Develop and train a skilled team of technicians and engineers. Maintain records of maintenance activities, job history, spares consumption, and performance. Ensure compliance with all safety, statutory, and environmental regulations.

Contact Timing Checking. 9. Conducting annual preventive maintenance of AVR/Transformer unit including dehydration test. 10. Routine Tests shall be carried out on each unit as per IS: 2026.
