Preferably a Semi Qualified CA Job Summary: The Accountant will manage the school's financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting tasks, budgeting, payroll, and supporting financial audits to maintain the school’s financial health. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update all financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and payments. Prepare and process payroll for school staff, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement. Monitor and reconcile bank statements and petty cash transactions regularly. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with school management. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collection of fees and payment of bills. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and school policies. Coordinate with auditors during financial audits and provide required documentation. Maintain proper documentation and filing system for all financial records. Support procurement processes by reviewing vendor invoices and purchase orders. Assist in grant management and reporting if applicable. Provide financial advice to school management when required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus. Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Office (Excel, Word). Excellent organizational and communication skills. High attention to detail and integrity in financial management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Working Conditions: Office environment within the school premises. Standard working hours with occasional need for extra hours during audit or financial closing periods. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month Benefits: Provident Fund Work Location: In person
