Job Description: Accounts profile : Immediate Joiner Pref. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies. Track and process accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely vendor payments and customer invoicing. Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis and cost control initiatives. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., purchasing, sales, operations) for financial data requirements. Support internal audits, statutory audits and tax filings (GST, TDS, etc.). Maintain supporting documentation and financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Provide financial information and reports to senior management as needed. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent; CA-Inter or part-qualified is a plus. Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a corporate environment. Good working knowledge of accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle or similar) and MS Excel. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines. Good communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and Bengali/Hindi. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Familiarity with Indian tax laws (GST, TDS) and statutory compliance is desirable. Working Conditions Based at the Head Office in Salt Lake City, Sector V, Kolkata – the candidate is expected to work from the office. Standard working hours; occasional overtime may be required during month-end/quarter-end/annual closing. Interaction with cross-functional teams across finance, audit, procurement and operations.
