Role Overview: You will play a crucial role in contributing to CDM Smith's mission by designing simple and complex roadway bridges, transportation-related structures, and performing structural analysis and design. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the drafting team, preparing structural analysis reports, and conducting bridge load ratings. Additionally, you will engage in knowledge and skill exchange with the team. Key Responsibilities: - Design simple and complex roadway bridges, grade separations, stream crossings, and bridge rehabilitations. - Design transportation-related structures such as culverts and retaining walls. - Work closely with the drafting team to develop structural plans. - Prepare structural analysis and design reports. - Perform bridge load ratings. - Independently review structural analysis and design of various transportation structures. - Exchange knowledge and skills with the team. Qualifications Required: - Post Graduation in Structural Engineering. - Good communication skills with fluency in English. - 6-10 years of experience in the analysis and design of various structures like bridges, grade separators, flyovers, underpasses, interchanges, pedestrian bridges, and skywalks. - Thorough knowledge of AASHTO, British, and Euro standards. - Experience in the design of reinforced concrete bridges, structural steel bridges, and pre-stressed concrete bridges. - Proficiency in design of bearings, expansion joints, and other bridge-related structures. - Hands-on experience with AASHTO LRFD bridge design methods. - Familiarity with seismic design of bridge structures, structural steel member, and connection design. - Capable of shoring design, assessment of bridge rating, and design of light poles and signage gantries. - Software exposure to Finite Element Analysis tools like Staad Pro, Midas Civil, CSI Bridges, SAP, and ETABS.
