Shopify Tech Lead

Key Work Areas:

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3 - 5+ years of

  deep Shopify development experience

  .
• Mastery of

  Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Shopify APIs, GraphQL

  .
• Solid understanding of

  all Shopify operations

  (checkout, shipping, payments, analytics, apps).
• Experience in

  team leadership / project management

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  SEO, CRO, and performance optimization

  .
• Ability to

  work independently

  and take full ownership of client requirements.
• Fluent communication skills to interact with

  clients and team members

  .
• Eagerness to

  learn and adapt

  to new e-commerce innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Shopify Development & Customization

• Build, customize, and optimize Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS).
• Implement Online Store 2.0 features, reusable sections, and dynamic content.
• Create advanced functionalities

  without over-dependenceon third-party apps

  .
• Ensure cross-browser and mobile responsiveness.

2.Store Setup & E-commerce Operations

• Configure checkout, shipping rules, taxes, and payments.
• Set up & integrate third-party apps (CRM, subscriptions, reviews, loyalty, etc.).
• Manage

  Shopify API / GraphQL integrations

  with ERPs, CRMs, marketplaces, etc.
• Handle multi-store, multi-language, and multi-currency setups.

3.Performance, SEO & Analytics

• Optimize site speed, LCP, CLS, and performance metrics.
• Implement SEO best practices (schema, meta, technical SEO).
• Set up GA4, Facebook Pixel, Conversion APIs, and event tracking.
• Provide reports and insights on conversions, funnels, and customer journeys.

4.Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor junior developers.
• Review code, enforce quality standards, and guide best practices.
• Allocate and manage project tasks, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Act as a

  bridge between client requirements and technical execution

  .

5.Problem Solving & Innovation

• Anticipate client needs and recommend scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot advanced issues in checkout, cart flows, and data sync.
• Continuously explore

  new Shopify features, headless commerce, and e-commerce trends

  .
• Share knowledge and

  upskill the team

  regularly.

Preferred Skills:

• Shopify Plus & Checkout Extensibility expertise.
• Headless commerce (Hydrogen/React, Next.js, etc.).
• Knowledge of automation tools (Klaviyo, Recharge, Bold, etc.).
• Experience with international markets (US, EU, APAC).
