SHOP ENGINEER

You will be joining the Transformers Business team at Hitachi Energy as a Shop Engineer in Savli, Gujarat, India. This team is seeking a motivated individual to contribute to the innovative and diverse technology used to transform energy. The company's portfolio includes power transformers, traction transformers, insulation and components, digital sensors, and transformer services, which are deployed across various industries. As a Shop Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the unit to achieve production targets by following systems and processes diligently. Your responsibilities will include correctly using machinery and equipment on the shop floor, reading and interpreting technical diagrams/instructions, and operating process equipment to convert raw materials into finished parts with the required quality and within timelines. You will be expected to execute assigned work according to work flows and safety guidelines, operate machines in accordance with instructions, conduct routine set-up and adjustments, and ensure compliance with health & safety guidelines. Quality testing and maintenance of equipment may also be part of your responsibilities, depending on the complexity of products. To excel in this role, you should have a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical with over 2 years of experience and proficiency in both spoken and written English.
