Job Description (JD) for the role of Branch Relationship Officer (BRO) – Axis Bank along with explanation of cross sales and revenue generation: Job Title: Branch Relationship Officer (BRO)Location: Axis Bank Branches (as per requirement)Job Description:As a Branch Relationship Officer (BRO) at Axis Bank, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth branch banking operations and delivering excellent customer service. You will play a key role in branch activities, customer handling, and business growth through cross-selling of banking products. Key Responsibilities:Branch Banking Operations Handling day-to-day banking activities such as account opening, fund transfers, cheque clearance, demand drafts, and related services. Ensuring compliance with banking rules, KYC norms, and regulatory guidelines. Managing customer queries and providing timely solutions. Cash Handling Managing cash deposits, withdrawals, and cash balancing at the branch. Ensuring accuracy in cash transactions and maintaining security protocols. Handling cash vault responsibilities as per branch requirements. Cross-Sales & Revenue Generation Promoting and selling additional banking products to existing and new customers. Cross-sell products such as: Savings & Current Accounts (CASA) Fixed Deposits & Recurring Deposits Credit Cards Personal Loans, Home Loans, Auto Loans Insurance (Life, Health, General) Mutual Funds and Investment Products Generating revenue for the bank by achieving sales targets on these products. Building long-term relationships with customers to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business. Customer Relationship Management Acting as the first point of contact for customers. Identifying customer needs and providing suitable solutions. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Cross Sales & Revenue Generation (Detailed Information):Cross Sales refers to the process of offering additional banking products to an existing customer who already uses one service. Example: A customer who has a savings account can be offered a credit card, insurance policy, or loan. This benefits both the bank (increasing revenue and profitability) and the customer (getting complete financial solutions under one roof). Banks set monthly/quarterly targets for each employee. Meeting these targets contributes to branch revenue. Revenue generation comes from: Interest earned on loans. Fees and commissions from insurance, mutual funds, and credit cards. Service charges on various banking services. Eligibility Criteria:Graduate in any stream (preferably Commerce/Finance/Management). Age: Below 28 years. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle cash and customer service efficiently. Sales orientation and target-driven mindset.
