Collaborating with research institutions, medical professionals, and biotech companies, the lab aims to advance scientific discoveries and enhance patient outcomes. To support the lab's growth, we are looking for a skilled Laboratory Operations & Logistics Executive to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and enhance the logistics procedures of the NGS laboratory, from specimen collection to result delivery. Your responsibilities will include managing logistics efficiency, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with quality standards to facilitate smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics operations and inventory management within the healthcare or biotech sector, showcasing expertise in managing end-to-end logistics processes and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. **Responsibilities:** **1. Pre-Testing Processes** - Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient biological specimen collection, handling, transportation, and receiving. - Collaborate with collection sites to ensure proper labeling, documentation, and tracking of incoming samples. - Streamline pre-analytical workflows with collection sites or healthcare facilities. - Monitor quality control measures during the pre-analytical phase to guarantee accurate and reliable test results. - Implement protocols for sample accessioning, including data entry and verification processes. **2. Post-Testing Processes** - Coordinate with bioinformatics teams for accurate and timely result reporting. - Supervise result delivery logistics to ensure secure and timely distribution to stakeholders. - Facilitate data exchange by establishing secure channels for sharing test results and relevant information, complying with data protection regulations and confidentiality agreements. - Develop communication strategies to keep internal teams informed about result delivery timelines, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals. - Oversee testing records archival and retention in line with relevant guidelines. - Collaborate with other departments to streamline internal processes and enhance overall efficiency. **3. Logistics and Inventory Management** - Develop and execute logistics strategies for optimizing the transportation and storage of biological samples, reagents, and consumables. - Coordinate with external shipping partners for timely import of biological samples, ensuring compliance with customs regulations. - Oversee shipping document filing and customs clearance processes. - Monitor and track shipments, implementing proactive measures to address potential issues and optimize delivery timelines. - Maintain a robust tracking system for visibility and accountability throughout the logistics chain. - Identify and resolve challenges related to transportation or documentation to minimize disruptions. - Stay updated on import regulations and shipping requirements to adjust logistics strategies accordingly. - Ensure timely and secure delivery of shipments to the laboratory. - Develop comprehensive inventory management strategies, monitor stock levels, and forecast future needs. - Collaborate with vendors for efficient ordering processes and maintain a reliable supply chain. - Implement a system for proper storage and labeling of inventory to prevent errors and facilitate easy retrieval. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or logistics discipline. - Proven experience in laboratory operations and logistics management, preferably in a medical or biotechnology laboratory. - Strong knowledge of shipping protocols and quality control processes. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in a laboratory setting. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective organizational skills and collaborative mindset. - Willingness to stay updated on best practices in logistics and operations. - Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and relevant software.,
