Inventory Management: Receiving, storing, and issuing engineering materials, including spare parts, tools, and consumables. Maintaining accurate stock records using inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, CMMS, ERP). Conducting regular stock audits and cycle counts to prevent discrepancies and shortages. Ensuring materials are stored and handled safely, adhering to safety protocols. Managing material flow, including receiving, inspecting, and issuing materials as per requirements. Procurement and Logistics: Collaborating with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials. Following up on purchase orders and delivery schedules. Coordinating with vendors for material delivery and resolving issues. Planning and scheduling material dispatches. Documentation and Compliance: Maintaining detailed records of all storekeeping activities, including GRNs, MRNs, and bin cards. Ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. Preparing inventory reports and supporting internal and external audits. Waste Management: Overseeing the segregation, recycling, and disposal of waste materials in compliance with environmental regulations. Other Responsibilities: Supervising store personnel, if applicable. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the store. Ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: Knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, ERP), documentation procedures (GRN, MRN), and safety protocols related to material handling. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors, internal teams, and management. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and delivery delays. Experience: Typically requires 2-5 years of experience in store management, preferably in the relevant industry (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, or construction). Education: A bachelor's degree or diploma in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is often preferred.
