Shift In-charge Blast Furnace Operations

As a Shift Incharge at ESL Steel Limited in Bokaro, you will play a crucial role in ensuring environment, health, and safety at the workplace with the goal of zero harm, zero discharge, and zero waste. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring the process to achieve shift production targets and grade-wise production - Reducing operational downtime - Identifying new activities for Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Aspect/Impact analysis - Managing daily shift work, safety, and environment initiatives while ensuring safe working conditions - Utilizing trouble-shooting skills for process variation - Coordinating with engineers and other shift personnel to ensure smooth functioning of blast furnaces - Maintaining good housekeeping practices and promoting a safe working environment Desired attributes for this role include: - Knowledge in Dry GCP/HBS - Familiarity with PCM operation and Loco/Ladle movement - Ability to take corrective actions for parameter deviations - Understanding of reducing wastage of consumables With a minimum of 10 years of experience and a qualification of B.E/B.Tech in Metallurgy, you should possess a transformational outlook, strong business acumen, and proven capabilities in delivering outcomes and driving radical change.
