Company Description We are Shibayu Arts, an independent game development studio passionate about storytelling through 2D RPGs and visual novels. Our focus is on crafting immersive narratives supported by compelling art, engaging gameplay, and emotionally rich characters. We strive to create memorable experiences that resonate with players and leave a lasting impact. Role Description This is a remote internship for a Game Developer. The Game Developer Intern will assist in the design, coding, and testing of game features. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with the team to develop game mechanics, debugging code, and integrating art assets. What You’ll Do Assist in the design, coding, and testing of game features and mechanics Collaborate with the team to implement interactive systems and gameplay logic Integrate 2D art and animation assets into the game engine Debug and optimize existing systems for performance and stability Participate in team discussions and share creative input on game design Qualifications Proficiency in GDScript or C# (Godot preferred; Unity/Unreal also considered) Experience or familiarity with the Godot Engine Understanding of core game development and design principles Strong problem-solving and debugging skills A collaborative spirit and comfort working in a remote, async team A passion for storytelling, games, and the craft of immersive worldbuilding (Bonus) Background in Game Dev, Computer Science, or a related field
