Sheet Metal Bending Machine Operator

As a Sheet Metal Bending Machine Operator, your primary role involves operating, setting, and maintaining CNC/NC bending machines (Press Brake) to form sheet-metal components in accordance with drawings and quality standards. Your responsibilities will require precision, machine proficiency, safety consciousness, and familiarity with fabrication processes. Key Responsibilities: - Operate CNC/NC Press Brake / Sheet Metal Bending Machines effectively. - Interpret engineering drawings, bend sequences, and technical specifications accurately. - Set tools, dies, punches, and bending programs according to job requirements. - Adjust machine parameters (pressure, depth, angle) to ensure precise bends. - Conduct trial bending and secure first-piece approval. - Ensure that sheet-metal parts meet dimensional tolerances and finish requirements. - Utilize measuring tools like Vernier Caliper, Angle Meter, Tape, and Height Gauge. - Minimize material wastage through proper bend planning. - Meet production targets while maintaining output quality. - Perform daily machine checks and basic preventive maintenance. - Promptly report machine issues to supervisors and maintenance teams. - Adhere to workplace safety standards, PPE usage, and machine operation protocols. - Maintain daily production records, job sheets, and machine logs. - Collaborate with the production supervisor, QC, cutting team, and store team. - Properly tag, stack, and handle finished parts.
