As an Engineer specializing in BIW, your role involves developing part designs and systems for the Underbody, ensuring adherence to design rules and practices consistently across all components. Your responsibilities include: - Creating Parametric Surface models of Underbody components according to Packaging requirements, Design standards, Performance criteria, and Geometrical requirements. - Generating Associative Assembly models. - Conducting virtual analysis to meet DVP&R and DFMEA requirements by collaborating with necessary CAE teams. - Participating in periodic design reviews, updating project status and addressing concerns. - Ensuring designs meet criteria, regulatory standards, best practices, and customer preferences. - Adhering to TC/PLM system rules and maintaining part history. - Releasing parts and assemblies following the Corporate Release Process. - Collaborating with the EBOM Team to keep the structure up to date. - Supporting technical feasibility, design robustness, manufacturability, and compliance of technical documentation. - Participating in Supplier Technical Reviews to address issues promptly. - Providing engineering support for problem-solving activities during the assembly plant phases. - Supporting change management through design modifications and feedback incorporation. - Conducting DMU checks for clash and clearances. - Participating in diagnostic activities on relevant systems/components. In the area of competence, you will be responsible for: - Executing robust, quality, cost-effective designs to ensure successful launches meeting program objectives. - Supporting standardization, re-use, harmonization, benchmarking, and lessons learned activities. - Developing technical solutions, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring part quality, and resolving issues. - Defining product diversity per KPI requirements. - Contributing to Source Package development. - Ensuring conformity to Internal Control System rules. Furthermore, your qualifications should include a B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical engineering. Your essential skills should encompass Advanced Surface Modeling/Assembly Modeling, DMU Analysis, Teamcenter (TC)/PLM/EBOM, DVPR & DFMEA, Vendor Development/SCM, Design for manufacturing, Weight & Cost optimization, GD&T, Sheet Materials, Sheet metal welding process knowledge, and robust modeling techniques. Desired skills may involve competencies, core values, behaviors such as OEM experience, Homologation & Regulation understanding, problem-solving abilities, and being a good team player committed to finishing design proposals efficiently with an agile mindset. Your experience of 6-8 years should include relevant CAD design experience in UG NX/CATIA.,

As a Part Design and Modeling Engineer, your main responsibility will be creating parametric surface models of BIW Parts, including underbody and upperbody components. These models should adhere to packaging requirements, design standards, performance criteria, surface class requirements, and geometrical specifications. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating associative assembly models and performing DMU checks for clash and clearance. You will also be responsible for interacting with CAE teams to ensure the virtual analysis meets the DVP&R and DFMEA requirements. This includes collaborating with necessary CAE teams to validate the design. In terms of Product Data Management in the TC System, you will need to follow PLM system rules and maintain part history accurately. It is essential to adhere to the EBOM structure in the PLM system and release parts and assemblies according to the Corporate Release Process under the guidance of the DRE. Furthermore, you will support Change Management efforts by implementing design changes and incorporating feedback from the Development team effectively. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering. Additionally, you must possess advanced skills in Surface Modeling and Assembly Modeling using CATIA V5/V6-Sheet metals, DMU Analysis, Section study, and PLM/EBOM. Desired skills for this position include expertise in sheet metal design aspects and formability, kinematic simulation, GD&T, sheet materials, sheet metal welding process, die process, die tryouts, panel defect identification/correction, and design for manufacturing. The ideal candidate for this position will have 8 to 10 years of experience in OEM and Tier 1 Automotive industry.,
