Role & responsibilities Quantity Take-offs and Measurements:Perform detailed measurements and quantifications of materials, labor, and equipment required from project drawings and specifications.Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in line with project requirements and industry standards.Document Analysis:Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand the project scope and requirements.Identify and report any discrepancies or ambiguities in the documents to senior team members.Standard Format Usage:Utilize standardized templates and formats for quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns as established by the organization.Ensure all documentation is prepared systematically and consistently.Collaboration and Coordination:Work closely with senior quantity surveyors, design teams, and procurement staff to gather necessary inputs for tender preparation.Data Verification and Quality Control:Cross-check and validate quantities against project drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy.Perform self-checks at work before submission to the senior surveyor for review.Documentation and Record-Keeping:Maintain organized and accurate records of all quantity calculations, BOQs, and correspondence.Ensure proper filing and easy retrieval of documents for future reference.Query Management:Draft and submit queries to clarify discrepancies or missing information in tender documents, as directed by senior staff.Track responses and ensure the necessary adjustments are made to estimates.Adherence to Deadlines:Follow the tender preparation schedule and complete assigned tasks within stipulated timelines.Report progress and any potential delays to senior team members promptly.Learning and Development:Attend training sessions and stay updated on the latest industry standards, software tools, and market trends.Learn and apply best practices in quantity surveying and tendering processes.Preferred candidate profile Experience: 3 to 10 years Experience in Quantification of Building works with Planswift /Autocad /Cost X Software Knowledge RequiredGood knowledge in Planswift /Autocad /Cost X Interested candidates may send the resumes to hr.spts@shapoorji.com
