Job Description The purpose of this position is to translate deployed strategy, business objectives, requirements from customers, stakeholders as well as standards and regulatory requirements into technical inputs to establish value stream capable of fulfilling needs of customer and stake holder expectations, conforming to standards & guidelines as well as continuously enhancing value stream efficiency & effectiveness and achieve operational excellence. Technical Capacity Management : Plan, implement & continually develop a manufacturing value addition flow with resources e.g. space, MAE, testing, handling, etc., capable of consistently manufacturing, measuring, monitoring, validating and delivering products that meets all engineering, regulatory & requirements of the customer. Value Stream Planning : Monitor internal & external requirements (e.g. BU, Plant, VS, BP, customer), true north and VS vision, collaborate with Cross Functional stake holders to identify, monitor & drive projects to lead Value stream towards a future state, progressively raise efficiency & achieve operational excellence. Control Of Production Processes : Establish, document & develop the release of processes (e.g. CpK study, PPAP, etc), controls to manage processes (e.g. control plans, work instructions, SPC, etc), methods to track & monitor customer requirements, reaction to non-conforming parts (e.g. reaction plan) to ensure defect free products. Budget Planning & Cost Management : Estimate & propose budgets for the upcoming planning periods required to run operations, fulfil demands and execute development projects e.g., personnel, tooling, services, MAE, Project costs, etc. Track & adapt expenditure over respective periods to adhere to budget and achieve economic success Risk Analysis & Contingency Planning : Identify & evaluate risks to sustaining intended results e.g. delivery to customer, assure zero defect products, product recalls, breakdown of single dependent machine, etc., plan, document, implement & test preventive and reactive measures to mitigate business & customer impact Problem Solving & Corrective Actions : Compile & assess deviations to defined standards in manufacturing e.g. infrastructure, processes, quality complaints, FPY, defect cost, safety incident, etc. Identify root causes, ideate, plan & implement necessary measures to fix issues to limit impact to the customer and business results MAE, Tooling & Consumable Planning : Prepare technical inquiry, scout market for suppliers of desired technology, float inquiry & receive techno-commercial offers, conduct technical discussions & narrow down potential vendors. Initiate internal process to place purchase requests to procure required items & manage regular availability. Coaching & Knowledge Management : Initiate, organize & lead engagement initiatives to coach, motivate & support team in knowledge sharing, pool collective knowledge for problem-solving, understanding & adoption of new standards, methods & technology etc, to enhance people potential, encourage innovation & organizational development. Change Initiatives & Management : Evaluate manufacturing setup for efficiency, technical constraints & ideas from associates, develop scenarios, plan (e.g. ECR process) & implement concepts (e.g. I4.0) & measures aimed at resolving issues, upgrading setup with benchmark concepts to improve efficiency & effectiveness of operations Project Management : Analyse new business requirements (e.g. product relocation, product inquiry, innovation project, etc), evaluate business case, develop project charter and project management plan,coordinate, drive and implement project plan in collaboration with cross functional teams to enable business growth Management Reporting : Compile, Organize and represent manufacturing performance data and insights to lead systematic understanding of influences and aspects in Value stream as well as support different levels of hierarchy in taking well-informed and strategic calls to support value stream goals Qualifications . Bachelors degree in engineering (Mech, EEE, ECE or IP) . Post Graduate Master's in Business Administration / M.Tech (Desirable) . Certification in Quality Management, Statistical tools,Operations management, Data Analytics, Agile methodology (Desirable) Additional Information Experience : Years of experience : 27 yrs in industry (Automotive, Precision component Mfg.) Required Skills & Experience : . Know how of Precision component Assembly & Testing Processes, Driving of Internal rejection reduction, IDC reduction strategy projects (as a Main responsibility) . Competent knowledge of the manufacturing process and MAE, assembly & testing techniques, measuring & testing equipment . Advanced knowledge in Statutory, Organization Regulations, Product liability, Compliance & Risk Management . Advance knowledge in Project management, Production monitoring system ( MES, MAS, i4.0 solutions,Combass) . Advance knowledge in Data analytics & Data Visualization (Power BI, Tableau) Broad Knowledge and experience in : Above average skills in :- Systematic problem solving- Shainin, Six Sigma, 8D, PSS & other problem solving tools Excellent skills in :- Communication, Leading teams in complex problem solving for Assembly processes General knowledge of :- IATF16949-QMS, VDA & ISO basic standards, Bosch Mfg guideline standards Experience in: Q Problem solving, Scrap data Analysis, IDC reduction Strategy Drives Other :- Ability to work in team, customer orientation, Ready to travel to customer locations Personality traits : - Must be a good team player with win-win attitude - Willingness to handle conflicting situations with internal, external state holders - Must lead the team towards a conclusive decision with agreement from all members - AGILE, Ready to take new tasks, eager to learn Work Environment - Job involves intense interaction with various stake holders (Quality, Production, Engineering, Development, Technical Functions) including customers and occasional traveling)

As the Factory Quality Head, you will play a crucial role in managing the quality aspects across suppliers, products, processes, and customers (both internal and external). Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Assurance Strategy to ensure the right quality enablers are in place for the entire supplier and manufacturing value chain. This strategic approach aims at driving continuous improvement in overall quality metrics, facilitated by sustainable quality systems that adhere to relevant regulatory compliances. Your key deliverables in this role will include reducing the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Call Rate, and Returns, ensuring flawless launches of outgoing products, developing the Quality Management System (QMS), creating a Quality Improvement Roadmap to enhance Quality Maturity Progression Score, Radar Score, reducing Tier 2 Supplier PPM, improving Rolling Throughput Yield, and enhancing team competency through training initiatives. Your duties and responsibilities will involve collaborating with various functions to define quality deliverables for New Product Introductions at different gates, conducting Quality Risk Assessments, overseeing compliance to validation standards, engaging suppliers on PPAP and run@rate delivery, executing APQP for bought-out parts, establishing process controls and critical touch points, monitoring new product performance post-launch, driving Built-in Quality through preventive controls, maintaining Global standards in product quality, fostering a culture of shop engagement through continuous improvement practices, addressing risk mitigation through Change Management and validation, setting up Quality Command Centers for effective communication, upgrading measurement systems and data acquisition processes, supporting problem resolution, authorizing deviation change requests, managing escalations, evaluating suppliers through radar mechanisms, and ensuring the skill development of the factory quality professionals. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) with over 20 years of experience in the Refrigerator Industry. Additional knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Integrated Management Systems (IMS), Change Management, Six Sigma, Shainin, and Design of Experiments (DOE) will be advantageous.
