Job Summary Shaan Rahman Music Conservatory, Kochi, is seeking an energetic, highly skilled Music Tutor to deliver our proprietary curriculum both on-site at schools and at the conservatory. The role demands a music-degree holder with excellent English and first-rate communication skills. Prior teaching experience is desirable—but your passion for inspiring young musicians is paramount. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging music lessons for students of varied ages and abilities, with a special focus on making music fun, interactive, and creative for school children. Implement our syllabus faithfully while adapting lesson plans to the diverse needs and learning styles of each class. Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration and musical growth. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching methods to meet individual goals. Communicate effectively with students, parents, school administrators, and conservatory staff to ensure a collaborative approach to music education. Requirements Music degree (B.A. Music or equivalent). Fluent English—spoken, written, and in formal correspondence. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and connect with children. Active, enthusiastic, and confident classroom presence, balanced by patience and empathy. Proven ability to handle varied conversations and situations with children and parents. Prior music-teaching experience (especially with school-age learners) is preferred. Adaptable, quick learner committed to continuous professional development and best practices in music education. Creative thinker capable of crafting innovative, inspiring lesson experiences.
