Backend Developer (Full-Stack Ownership) – Health-Tech Chatbot & Platform (swastya.ai) About the role We’re hiring our first core tech teammate to take our web-based health chatbot and analytics platform fully onto WhatsApp (via the Wati.io API) while continuing to build web dashboards, websites and a doctor-facing portal for our B2B partners. You’ll own the backend end-to-end—architecting services, onboarding clients, and integrating Python-based predictive models and LLM-powered prompts that turn raw health data into actionable insights (e.g., Biological Age). Key responsibilities • Re-architect our Node/TypeScript backend for a WhatsApp-first experience using Wati.io (or similar) APIs. • Design and operate scalable REST/GraphQL APIs, event pipelines, and database schemas for chat flows, file uploads, and analytics. • Own client onboarding: set up WhatsApp workspaces, configure numbers, deploy chatflows, and provision custom domains/dashboards. • Build and iterate on the doctor web app (React + TypeScript) for clinics to review reports, chat history, and personalized care plans. • Create and refine conversational prompts and retrieval pipelines that connect our LLM service (OpenAI) with domain-specific Python models (biological age, lifestyle scoring, etc.). • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure uptime, data quality, and compliance with HIPAA/GDPR-aligned practices. • Collaborate with product, design, and medical advisors; ship fast, document well, and automate deployments (Docker, CI/CD, Supabase/Cloud Run or similar). Tech stack you’ll touch Node.js / TypeScript, Supabase (Postgres + Edge Functions), Python (scientific/ML stack), OpenAI functions/tooling, Vite/React, Tailwind, Wati.io, Docker, GitHub Actions. What we’re looking for • 1–4 years of experience building and running production backends (REST and/or GraphQL). • Strong TypeScript + SQL fundamentals; comfortable writing Python data pipelines or ML wrappers. • Hands-on experience with messaging APIs (WhatsApp Business, Twilio, or similar). • Demonstrated ownership of greenfield features—from spec to production monitoring. • Bonus: Supabase Edge Functions, health-tech or regulated-data exposure, and prompt-engineering experience.
