vConstruct a Pune based international construction technology company is seeking a Project Engineer for Site Infrastructure with 3-5 years of commercial construction experience. Position Overview Project Engineer Site Infrastructure creates Building Information Models (BIM), i.e., 3D/4D/5D computer models / simulations for commercial construction projects using Virtual Construction and Design (VDC) tools and methods. Model Authoring: Develop high precision models for majorly Civil and Landscape occasionally per project needs. Read and understand Regional US Building codes and able to translate it into the models. Ability to work with Parametric Revit Families. Ability to work within Autodesk Construction Cloud environment. Produce dimensioned drawings for layout from the models. (Plan and Profile) Quality Checks: Ability to perform various Quality Checks on the Models to validate models for things like: - Model Completeness with respect to design documents - Model Alignment with respect to other trade models - Model Sanity: no duplication of data, no errors and omissions, continuity of systems between the different points of connection. Ability to capture as-built information and compare it with BIM to verify alignment and Quality Checks on construction put in place. Clash Detection and Coordination: Perform Model based coordination amongst different building systems using tools like Navisworks Clash Detection, etc. Engage in BIM coordination meetings between different trades. Suggest solutions to problems and conflicts through accurate interpretation of contract documents and thorough understanding of constructability. Communication and work ethics: Ability to confidently communicate with onsite project teams in meetings to coherently convey project updates, complex issues, etc. Effective participation in team environment A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude. Role Summary: The Principal Engineer will contribute to a growing utilities infrastructure design team. They will deliver water sector assets for various projects in Sweden. These projects include residential, industrial, commercial, transport, water, retail, health, and education projects. Key Responsibilities: Take the lead in managing and overseeing the design and planning of wet utility-related projects, which includes designing water, wastewater, and stormwater networks, water and wastewater transmission pipelines, coordinating utilities, investigating stormwater, documenting systems, updating models, supporting stormwater drainage, and handling cross-connections, hydraulic and hydrological modelling, etc. Identify methods and solutions for complex engineering problems. Act as the Project Engineer for medium to large projects within your discipline. Offer technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses. Guide others in using technologies such as Civil3D, Sewer Gems, Water Gems, AutoCAD, and BIM. Ensure the design complies with all relevant codes and regulations. Prepare Bill of quantities, specifications for materials/equipment and purchase requisitions. Develop plans for operation and maintenance. Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations. Qualifications: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree or equivalent in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university. Bring at least 12 years of professional experience in utilities infrastructure projects. Be in the process of obtaining Chartership or have recently achieved it. Demonstrate proficiency in using software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Experience in the Construction industry is beneficial. Be accountable for creating drawings. Have practical experience in building, calibrating, and verifying integrated 1D-2D models using advanced software like Mike Plus and InfoWorks ICM. Technical expertise and experience in integrated 1D-2D flood modelling is a plus. Have experience in building/updating models and flood mapping using Scalgo or GIS. Have worked on Nordic flood alleviation/appraisal scheme projects. Experience in storm drain modelling and integrated ID-2D modelling using Mike Plus and InfoWorks ICM is desirable. Be familiar with Nordic Wet Utilities Design, Highway/Railway Drainage, Hydraulic, Hydrologic standards and practices related to the Environment Protection Agency.
