Role & responsibilities "Automation Engineer Telecom Job Description We are looking for a Telecom Automation Engineer to be an integral part of our team. As an integral part within a cross-functional, agile team you will be working on developing automation solutions using our propriety Automated Network Testing platform. Responsibilities • Participate in Sprint Planning and design discussions with the development team to ensure automation is designed and implemented meeting client’s requirements. • Develop expertise in Automated Network Testing platform and become an advocate for its use. • Strong demonstration skillset to show automation deliverables to customers. • Showcasing your skills to our customers by engaging in detailed discussions of test cases, presenting automation capabilities, and providing support for issues encountered during automated test case execution. Your knowledge of industry standards like 3GPP, cloud deployment, CLI and landslide script knowledge will be essential here. • Improve productivity for the overall team by proposing tools or processes that eliminate net workload. • Analysis of user stories and test case definitions to determine the best way in which to automate the testing. • Close collaboration with Network System Engineers to create a detailed test design using Automated Network Testing platform, and traffic simulators. • Gather Requirements for Testcase Automation from Network function teams. • Create E2E Test Cases and post validation templates using ANT. • Create CLI testcase template to cli health checks using ANT. • Development and documentation of automation using Python. • Collaboration with Network System Engineers to troubleshoot issues. • Resolution of any automation related defects. • Provide post-deployment support as required. Basic Qualifications • An extensive understanding of Azure and ADO concepts is required, including the ability to create and maintain these concepts. • Experience in developing yaml-expressed ADO Pipelines from scratch is vital. • Ability to articulate concepts, solutions, and standards to members of the project with various levels of skills sets through presentations and/or discussions. • 7+ Years of experience in LTE/5G core network testing and development. • Proficient in Python development with 5+ years of experience. • 3+ Years of experience working with Regular Expressions (RegEx). • Hands on experience developing and maintaining automation scripts following Object Oriented Programming principles. • Good working knowledge of Linux, IP Networks and Wireshark. • Good Knowledge of LTE/5G Core Network and Call Flows. • 3+ Experience in K8s, Azure, Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills • Proficient with Agile testing methodologies and best practices • Working knowledge of Robot framework, Selenium, Java script, JSON, YAML files etc. • Portfolio on GitHub or other platforms • Interest in learning new tools and technologies • Strong demonstration skills are a must, particularly when delivering automation solutions to customers.
