The Network Monitoring (NM) Team within OCI plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and security of the cloud network. Customers rely on the NM Team to enhance availability, visibility, security, performance, capacity planning, root cause analysis, and failure prediction. The team focuses on developing cutting-edge cloud monitoring solutions that provide performance monitoring, AI-enabled root cause analysis, prediction, and capacity planning for Oracle's global cloud network infrastructure. As a Principal and Senior Member of Technical Staff (IC4/IC3) for the OCI Network Monitoring team, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise to tackle complex problems in building cloud-native observability and analytics solutions at scale. The role involves developing distributed AI/ML systems capable of handling massive amounts of data, including metrics collection, data pipeline creation, and analytics generation using AI/ML for real-time and batch processing. If you are passionate about designing and delivering AI/ML-based observability services and thrive in a fast-paced environment, the NM team is the ideal place for you. **Responsibilities:** - Design and develop cloud-native observability and analytics solutions at scale - Build complex distributed AI/ML systems for real-time and batch processing - Collaborate with the team to provide performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and capacity planning - Contribute to the development of AI/ML applications using ML models - Utilize Java, Python, C++, and Object-Oriented programming for solution development - Enhance networking protocol knowledge in areas such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, BGP, and OSPF - Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders - Apply cloud computing and networking technologies to monitoring services - Implement service-oriented systems and frameworks - Utilize tools like Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket for development processes - Embrace Scrum and Agile Methodologies for project execution **Qualifications:** - BS/MS or Equivalent in Computer Science or related field - 4+ years of software development experience - 1-2 years of experience in developing AI/ML applications using ML models - Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, and Object-Oriented programming - Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, BGP, and OSPF is advantageous - Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills - Familiarity with cloud computing and networking technologies, including monitoring services - Experience with LLM frameworks like Langchain and LlamaIndex - Exposure to LLMs such as GPT-4, Llama 3.1, and Cohere Command - Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, BitBucket is a plus - Understanding of Scrum and Agile Methodologies This role is at the IC3 career level and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.
