Service Reliability Engineer (SRE)

As a member of the ERP/JD Edwards DevOps division, your role involves providing continuous support to Product Development, Quality, and Product Management teams. You will collaborate closely with Development, Quality, and Release engineering teams to support, maintain, and configure environments. This includes tasks such as building and deploying applications and tools, configuring product mastering and delivery, patching, and troubleshooting across various operating systems and database servers. Your responsibilities also encompass supporting ongoing automation projects, developing a provisioning system, and enhancing frameworks. Additionally, you should be capable of handling complex projects and mentoring junior team members effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with Development, Quality, and Release engineering teams for environment support, maintenance, and configuration. - Build and deploy applications and tools, configure product mastering and delivery, and troubleshoot across various platforms. - Support automation projects, develop a provisioning system, and enhance frameworks. - Mentor and train junior team members. Qualifications Required: - Possess a B.E/ B.Tech/ M.E/ M.Tech/ MCA degree in a field relevant to the functional area. - Have 5-10 years of JD Edwards CNC experience. - Demonstrate excellent knowledge in the functional area. - Possess strong written and oral communication skills. - Self-motivated with the ability to work well both independently and in groups. - Attention to detail, strong analytical and engineering skills. - Good project management and decision-making skills. Special Skills: - Extensive knowledge of SDLC and software release processes. - 2-6 years of hands-on experience in automation tools like PL/SQL, Python, Ruby, Bash, Groovy. - Technical proficiency in architecting automation, CI/CD, and application performance management tools. - Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux platforms. - Desired knowledge in Java development, SQL, RDBMS, REST Web Services. - Cloud experience is a plus. - Experience with orchestration tools and technologies like Chef, Docker, Puppet, Rundeck, Jenkins, and Artifactory. - Knowledge/experience in Agile/SCRUM process development methodology is beneficial.,
