Service Now Developer: Job Description Application Portfolio Management Position - Requirement Document Role Overview The Application Portfolio Manager is responsible for improving the processes associated with registering new applications and modifications. This role ensures data quality and collaborates with the Primary Technical Owner to maintain proper data standards. Additionally, the Application Portfolio Manager is tasked with creating dashboards to address any queries. Key Responsibilities Process Improvement Enhance the processes for registering new applications and modifications. Identify and implement best practices to streamline application registration processes. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of current processes and suggest improvements. Data Quality Assurance Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data related to application portfolio management. Work closely with the Primary Technical Owners across company to verify and correct data discrepancies. Develop and maintain data standards and protocols to ensure consistent data quality. Collaboration and Coordination Collaborate with the Primary Technical Owners to ensure all data is accurate and up to date. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Coordinate with various teams to ensure compliance with data management policies. Dashboard Creation and Management Design and develop dashboards to provide insights and address queries related to the application portfolio. Utilize data visualization tools to create user-friendly and informative dashboards. Regularly update and maintain dashboards to reflect the most current data and information. Required Skills and Qualifications Atleast 8-10 Years of Experience with Service Now platform Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow APM and its integration with the ServiceNow platform Deep understanding of CSDM 3.0 or later, including its domains, data structure, and best practices for CMDB data modeling Experience in aligning APM with CSDM, particularly in mapping applications to business capabilities, services, and technical architecture Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Skill in creating and managing relationships between applications, business services, and technical services as per CSDM guidelines Proficiency in using ServiceNow's Service Builder feature for creating and managing services following CSDM guidance. Understanding of APM's role in strategic portfolio management and its integration with other ServiceNow modules10. Application Inventory Categorization Data Certification Application Services Proficiency in data management and data quality assurance practices. Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and shell scripting. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high data quality standards. Performance Metrics Efficiency and effectiveness of the application registration process. Accuracy and quality of application portfolio data. Timeliness and reliability of dashboard updates and queries resolution. Stakeholder satisfaction with data management and reporting processes.
