In Service Operation Support, as a Sr. System Engineer, your role involves ensuring reliable and punctual delivery of product data while supporting the overall operation of the SOS group. You will be responsible for resolving or escalating issues, from submission/detection to fulfillment/resolution, while adhering to a rotating schedule that includes on-call shifts within your team. Your primary duties will encompass proactive and reactive service monitoring, technical triaging, incident management, and providing necessary status updates and communications to management. An essential aspect of this role is a dedication to automation and quality, alongside a comprehensive understanding of Legacy and Current Systems, On-Premises, Cloud, and a continuous drive for improvement. Your other key responsibilities will include: - Identifying common issues and developing sustainable solutions. - Demonstrating exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. - Maintaining and monitoring production applications and systems. - Engaging in internal documentation practices. - Collaborating closely with management, DevOps, and Engineering teams to effectively execute tasks. - Adhering to defined SLAs to ensure the delivery of top-notch services to clients. - Identifying opportunities for process enhancement. - Managing and prioritizing multiple work requirements efficiently. - Exhibiting the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. - Fulfilling on-call duties as necessary. Role Requirements / Desired Skills: - Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 6 years of experience in roles such as Support Engineer, Product Support Engineer, or Application Support Engineer. - Proficiency in reading and writing various programming languages like Java, .Net, SQL. - Familiarity with both Relational and Non-Relational Databases and Data Stores (MSSQL, MongoDB, Postgres, Kafka, etc.). - Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms. - Proficiency in Networking within Physical and Cloud Environments. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Strong problem-solving abilities. - Capability to plan and delegate incidents effectively. - Superior time management skills. - Passion for data, keen attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a penchant for problem-solving. - Knowledge of additional technologies like orchestration tools, database optimization, and server/application optimization. - Experience with DevOps practices and software. Additional skill set (Good to have): - Knowledge of GIT, Jenkins, and other Continuous Integration services. - Experience in knowledge base creation and Technical documentation. - Affinity with Video, Music & Sports domain. - Interest in exploring and understanding new technologies and architectures.,
