Job Description

As a Senior Software Development Engineer at Cisco, you will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and delivering the Cisco NFVIS (Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure Software) product. This product is built upon Linux KVM technologies and is deployed in various customer deployments. Your role will involve complete ownership of CI/CD with automation for features, managing release collaterals, and operating in a high-touch model for key customer accounts. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and release features in a dynamic agile environment using modern methodologies and open-source tools - Own your work, deliver elegant and scalable solutions, and continuously learn and grow your skills - Collaborate with an autonomous, multi-functional team to tackle real problems and meet customer needs - Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop new features - Collaborate with fellow developers on software/system architecture - Write specification documents, unit test plans, and create estimates and schedules - Be self-driven with a background in build processes, scripting, and Python automation - Implement automation using CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git **Qualifications Required:** - Expert level experience in Linux, understanding of Kernel, and virtualization technologies such as qemu, libvirt, kvm - Expert level experience in Python, YANG, NetConf/REST API implementation - Expert level experience with networking concepts and protocols (DHCP, Bridges, VLAN, etc) - A degree in Computer Science or related field and 10+ years of experience At Cisco, every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue the purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.
