General SEO Intern Job Role

An SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Intern is typically responsible for assisting a marketing or SEO team in improving a website's online visibility and organic search rankings. This is a hands-on role focused on gaining practical experience in digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities often include:

• Keyword Research: Using tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to identify valuable search terms and trends that people are using.
• On-Page Optimization: Assisting with the optimization of website content, including meta tags, headers, and internal linking strategies, to make it more search-engine friendly.
• Content Optimization: Working with content creators to ensure that new and existing content is optimized for target keywords and user experience.
• Link Building: Helping with outreach efforts to build high-quality backlinks, which are links from other websites that help improve a site's authority.
• Technical SEO Audits: Assisting in performing technical audits of the website to identify and fix issues that could negatively impact SEO performance, such as broken links or slow page speed.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor website performance, analyze data, and report on key metrics such as organic traffic and keyword rankings.
