Local SEO E-commerce/Website Optimization General SEO Intern Job Role An SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Intern is typically responsible for assisting a marketing or SEO team in improving a website's online visibility and organic search rankings. This is a hands-on role focused on gaining practical experience in digital marketing. Key Responsibilities often include: Keyword Research: Using tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to identify valuable search terms and trends that people are using. On-Page Optimization: Assisting with the optimization of website content, including meta tags, headers, and internal linking strategies, to make it more search-engine friendly. Content Optimization: Working with content creators to ensure that new and existing content is optimized for target keywords and user experience. Link Building: Helping with outreach efforts to build high-quality backlinks, which are links from other websites that help improve a site's authority.
