The role of R&D Structural Engineer at Hitachi-Energy offers you the opportunity to be a part of the Global Multi-Physics Simulation (GLOMUS) network team within the Technology Center. You will collaborate with experts in various fields such as electrical, structural, acoustic, thermo-mechanic, and fluid dynamics analyses, simulations, and testing. Your contributions will play a vital role in supporting factories in the PG Dry, Traction, and Distribution Transformers through innovative research projects, technology development, and product optimization. You will also be involved in assisting engineering offices globally. Your responsibilities will include conducting Finite Element simulations on structures under various static and dynamic loads, developing new automations for product assessments, running feasibility studies, designing new products, organizing prototyping and testing activities, and leading product development projects within the Transformer field. Additionally, you will be expected to support technology transfer, provide technical assistance to different departments, and uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. To excel in this role, you should hold a PhD or Masters degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, possess advanced knowledge of structural loads and finite element analysis using ANSYS software, have experience in programming languages like Python, and demonstrate proficiency in vibrational fatigue, dynamics, and structural testing. Strong project management skills, along with proficiency in English language, are essential requirements for this position.
