Senior/Staff Engineer, Data Scientist

As a Staff Data Scientist at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for leveraging machine learning and statistical techniques to develop cutting-edge data products. This will involve working with extensive Big Data sets from technology development and manufacturing teams to create predictive analytics, prescriptive solutions, decision support systems, and decision automation tools. Your role will include developing AI, machine learning, and statistical solutions for building predictive, prescriptive, optimization, and automation tools for silicon design verification and firmware validation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of semiconductor products. You will drive technical innovation and foster a culture of creativity within the team by contributing to intellectual property generation and inspiring innovative thinking. Additionally, you will be involved in project scoping, stakeholder discussions, and leading multiple project executions. Key Requirements: - Education: Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 8 years in data science and machine learning, with a preference for experience in silicon verification or semiconductors. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistics, classical ML algorithms, neural networks, data engineering, and deployment pipelines. Experience with Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Tableau, and Power BI is required. - Soft Skills: Strong passion for the semiconductor industry, teamwork, mentoring, learning, ethics, and effective communication.
