Senior/Principal Patent Counsel, SEP Litigation

Role Overview: As a motivated and seasoned patent professional, you will be responsible for strengthening a team that manages cellular Standard Essential Patents in litigation. Your role will involve preparing assets for litigation, coordinating outside counsel work, and handling technical and patent-related tasks across active litigation projects globally. You will play a crucial part in identifying and preparing patents for litigation, conducting validity and essentiality analysis, and managing infringement and validity-related matters in patent litigation activities. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and prepare patents for litigation - Conduct validity and essentiality analysis - Prosecute litigation assets and prepare for legal actions - Handle infringement and validity related matters in patent litigation globally - Coordinate, guide, and review external work Qualifications Required: - Minimum 10 years of professional experience in patent business at a law firm or in-house - Experience in patent litigation - Engineering Degree in Telecommunications, Physics/Mathematics, or equivalent, along with European Patent Attorney or Law qualification - Understanding of 3GPP technologies - Excellent communication and analytical skills - Proactive, result-oriented mindset with a strong drive to excel in a high-pressure environment - Proven track record in resolving complex issues and executing strategies - Ability to organize work across multiple teams and stakeholders - Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders Additional Company Details: Nokia Technologies manages and monetizes Nokia's patent portfolio, leveraging Nokia's innovation and R&D leadership.
