Senior/Lead Engineer / Architect L2/L3 Networking Protocol

Role Overview: As the Lead / Architect for L2/L3 Networking Protocol Development (Datacom), your primary responsibility will be to design, code, and optimize protocol stacks in C/Linux. Your success will be measured by your ability to deliver reliable networking features, address complex issues, and provide guidance to team members through mentorship and reviews. Your role will be crucial in advancing Datacom solutions across Cisco and open networking platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop L2/L3 networking protocol features and enhancements. - Implement and optimize software in C on Linux kernels (mandatory). - Debug, fix, and enhance protocol implementations for high stability. - Architect multi-threaded and socket-based systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration and testing. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design/code reviews. Qualifications: - 5-18 years of hands-on experience in L2/L3 protocol development. - Strong expertise in C, Linux, data structures, and memory management. - Experience with L2 protocols (VLAN, STP, VXLAN, LLDP, LAG) and L3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, MPLS, GRE, IPSec). - Background in Cisco OS such as IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS. - Proficiency in multi-threading and socket programming.,
