Senior Wifi Firmware Engineer

As a WLAN Firmware Engineer at Espressif Systems, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, unit testing, bug fixing, and maintaining WLAN firmware for Espressif IoT platforms. Your responsibilities will include implementing functionality based on the 802.11 standard, developing custom WiFi solutions, and providing support to Espressif customers. Your innovative contributions will help ensure the secure, robust, and power-efficient IoT solutions offered globally through Espressif's technology. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain WLAN firmware for Espressif IoT platforms - Implement functionality in accordance with the 802.11 standard - Develop custom WiFi solutions for Espressif IoT infrastructure - Provide support to Espressif customers on various WiFi features **Qualifications Required:** - BE/B.Tech in Computer Science with 4-9 years of experience - Strong Computer Science fundamentals - Hands-on experience in Wireless LAN driver/firmware development - Proficiency in C design and coding, with experience in low-level software debugging - Familiarity with WiFi sniffer analysis & debugging tools like Wireshark/Omnipeek - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills **Nice to have skills:** - Understanding of WiFi PHY concepts such as OFDM, MIMO, beam-forming, and antenna basics - Experience in RTOS programming for ARM/Xtensa microprocessors - Knowledge of TCP/IP stack including DHCP, ARP, NAT, and other protocols - Expertise in firmware development for processors with small memory footprints At Espressif Systems, the interview process involves submitting your resume and a sample of your work, followed by a series of technical interviews.
