As a Senior User Assistance Developer, you won't just lead a teamyou'll set the tone for how our users experience SAP's data and analytics tools. You will convert technical complexity into actionable, user-focused content that empowers users and elevates the overall experience. From in-product guidance and tutorial videos to comprehensive documentation and UX editorial, your leadership will ensure that every content touchpoint adds value to the user journey. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Lead a team of User Assistance developers responsible for technical documentation, in-product guidance, tutorials, and multimedia. Foster a culture of continuous learning, goal alignment, and team empowerment. Content Strategy & Delivery Define and oversee content strategies, ensuring delivery of high-quality, user-centric content on schedule. Uphold SAP's content standards and industry best practices, while driving innovation across the UA community. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with UX designers, product managers, developers, and subject-matter experts to align content with product functionality and user needs. Collaborate with external stakeholders (customers, partners) to evolve content based on real-world feedback. Strategic Thinking & Innovation Shape the long-term vision for UA deliverables, tools, and processes. Champion innovative approaches that enhance user assistance and align with SAP's strategic direction. Content Quality & Consistency Ensure all content meets high standards of accuracy, clarity, consistency, and linguistic correctness. Maintain adherence to content architecture, SAP terminology, and accessibility guidelines. User Research & Insights Conduct research and usability testing to identify user needs and pain points. Use insights to refine content and improve the overall user experience. Process Improvement Lead initiatives to improve UA tools and workflows, promoting efficiency and innovation. Ensure consistent application of SAP standards and guidelines. Accountability & Role Modeling Serve as a role model for integrity, accountability, and proactive problem-solving. Encourage a culture of trust, collaboration, and high performance. What You Bring Expertise in Data & Analytics Deep knowledge of data management, business intelligence, and analytics tools. Experience in creating content for complex data solutions, preferably within SAP's ecosystem. Strategic & Visionary Thinking 812 years of experience developing and executing content strategies that drive user and business outcomes. Ability to anticipate trends and adapt strategies proactively. Content Leadership Mastery of content creation across formats: documentation, multimedia, tutorials, UX copy, and in-product help. Proven ability to maintain quality, consistency, and user focus across all deliverables. Collaborative Leadership Strong track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and building alignment with technical and non-technical stakeholders. User-Centered Mindset Hands-on experience with user research and usability testing. Ability to advocate for the user in every content decision. Communication & Influence Excellent interpersonal skills to inspire, mentor, and guide teams. Skilled at providing constructive feedback and fostering a growth-oriented culture. Project & Team Management Proven success managing large-scale content projects in agile environments. Capable of balancing priorities and meeting multiple deadlines without compromising quality. Language & Accessibility Fluent in English with the ability to create content that is clear, inclusive, and globally accessible. Preferred Qualifications Domain expertise within the SAP data and analytics ecosystem. Experience with multimedia production and modern UI/UX frameworks. Strong customer engagement skills to refine content based on user feedback. History of driving content innovation aligned with strategic business goals.
