Senior Test Engineer (Android / Mobile Applications)

As a Senior Test Engineer with 4-8 years of experience, your role will involve: - Designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases for Android smartphones and mobile applications. - Performing functional, regression, performance, and system testing on Android platforms. - Analyzing Android logs (Logcat, Crash logs, etc.) to troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues. - Collaborating closely with development, product, and design teams to ensure product quality. - Reporting, tracking, and managing defects using tools such as JIRA or similar. - Developing and maintaining test documentation including test cases, bug reports, and QA metrics. - Performing OTA update testing, compatibility testing, and localization testing as needed. - Providing mentorship to junior testers and contributing to test strategy improvements. Qualifications required for this role: - 4-8 years of experience in mobile device testing, specifically Android smartphones and applications. - Strong knowledge of Android OS, ADB commands, and log analysis tools. - Experience with manual testing and familiarity with automation tools/frameworks is a plus (e.g., Appium, Espresso). - Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC. - Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA. - Good communication and documentation skills.,
