Senior Technologist - VCM, EDC, PVC

As a Process Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to provide support to manufacturing in order to achieve performance targets. You will play a key role in leading the technology input into root cause analysis of complex process and engineering issues. Additionally, you will be tasked with defining improvements and upgrades in existing processes, equipment, and technologies to enhance capacities and process efficiencies. Your role will involve identifying, justifying, and prioritizing plant improvements for various projects such as PIOs, CAPEX, and REVAMP projects. You will also be responsible for evaluating technologies, catalysts, chemicals, additives, and fuels. Furthermore, you will be expected to audit and benchmark plant, product, and energy performance to ensure optimal efficiency. In this position, you will need to anticipate constraints and trends in technology and product application range. You will also participate in commercial plant trials and develop, validate, customize, and maintain simulation and APC models. Your ability to prepare final technology comparison reports and participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities will be crucial. Moreover, you will be required to coach, mentor, and support the onboarding and development of Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) in the technology domain. Your skills in chemical engineering, process technology, and relevant codes and standards will be essential for success in this role. You should be able to work independently, take proactive actions on technical issues, and effectively communicate and network with various stakeholders. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering and have 8-10 years of relevant industrial experience. Operational experience in plant processes related to VCM, EDC, and PVC will be advantageous. Good technical background, communication skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities are key attributes required for this role.,
