Job Description

As a Senior Technical Designer in the Babywear Division, your role will involve leading the technical development of babywear products. You will ensure fit accuracy, fabric compatibility, and production feasibility while aligning designs with brand aesthetics, market trends, and customer comfort expectations. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the design team to translate creative concepts into production-ready styles. - Interpret sketches, mood boards, and fabric selections into accurate tech packs. - Maintain brand design language reflecting comfort, safety, and current trends. - Develop, analyze, and correct base patterns for each babywear category. - Manage sample fittings on dummies and live babies for functional comfort and mobility. - Maintain brand size charts, grading rules, and ensure measurement accuracy. - Assess fabric handfeel, GSM, and stretch compatibility for babywear. - Prepare detailed Tech Packs, Spec Sheets, and Operation Bulletins. - Stay updated on global babywear trends, safety regulations, and design innovations. - Support manufacturing unit with pattern layout, grading markers, and construction guidance. Skill Requirements: - Advanced pattern-making and garment construction knowledge. - Strong understanding of babywear ergonomics and safety standards. - Excellent analytical, measurement, and visualization skills. - Hands-on experience with digital pattern software and CAD tools. - Deep understanding of knitwear behavior, shrinkage, and stretch dynamics. - Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience: - 8-12 years of experience as a Technical Designer or Product Developer in knitwear/babywear. - Proven record of developing fit blocks and technical foundations for new brands. Education: - Bachelors or Masters in Fashion Technology, Apparel Design, or Clothing Production Technology. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Fit Accuracy: % of styles approved in 2 fit rounds. - Tech Pack Delivery: On-time documentation & revisions. - Pattern Efficiency: Material optimization %. - Sample Approval: Approval rate on first PP sample. - Innovation: New methods or finishes introduced per season. In addition, you will be working full-time at a permanent position with health insurance and Provident Fund benefits. The work location will be in person.,
