Job Description

Role Overview: The Senior Structural Engineer will lead the structural design of various building projects, working both locally and internationally. This role requires close collaboration with technicians, active participation in client meetings, and ensuring timely, high-quality project delivery within budget. Key Responsibilities: Lead Structural Design: Take the lead on designing structural elements for buildings, ensuring that all designs meet high engineering standards and are safe, functional, and cost-effective. Collaboration with Technicians: Work closely with technicians to produce detailed CAD and Revit drawings, ensuring that all structural elements are accurately represented. Client and Stakeholder Interaction: Represent the engineering team in meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and timelines. Design Alignment: Ensure that design decisions align with the clients goals, company objectives, and relevant standards, while keeping senior staff informed about project progress and challenges. Project Coordination: Coordinate efforts with the broader project team to ensure that project deadlines and budgets are met, while maintaining the quality of the engineering work. Skills and Experience: Education: Master's degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent. Experience: 8-10 years of relevant structural engineering experience, with a preference for international project experience. Design Expertise: Essential experience with secondary steel design and proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software. Revit Structures Knowledge: Knowledge of Revit Structures is a plus. Communication Skills: Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders. Proactive Problem-Solving: Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving and is familiar with relevant domestic standards and regulations in structural engineering. Additional Requirements: Team Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and ensuring that design work meets the highest standards. International Experience: Experience working on international projects is highly desirable, with an understanding of global construction standards and practices.
