Senior Software Engineer - Product

About the role: Join Commenda as we embark on a rapid expansion into new lines of business and across multiple countries. In recent times, we have successfully introduced various products such as US sales tax solutions, Canadian incorporation services, and an app tailored for our partner accountants to streamline their workflows. Your contribution will be pivotal in driving our growth forward. We are currently seeking a seasoned senior full-stack software engineer capable of taking ownership of one of our products, which could include incorporation services, corporate tax filings, or transaction taxes like VAT, GST, and US sales tax. Your responsibilities will involve: - Leading a full-stack product from its prototype stage to a fully developed and functional product by identifying and incorporating missing features and enhancing user flows. - Collaborating closely with a product owner who possesses a deep understanding of business requirements. Together, you will strategize and implement the development roadmap for the product and its related business line. - Engaging with and expanding Commenda's core data model. You will collaborate closely with the team managing CommendaOS, our corporate data system. Your role will be crucial in recognizing any gaps in the unified data model and contributing towards their resolution. Additionally, you will be responsible for the sections of the data model associated with your specific product. Tech Stack: Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js Backend: Nest.js, Node, TypeScript, Prisma, Postgres This position requires your physical presence in either Bangalore or San Francisco, where in-office work is scheduled Monday through Friday. Requirements: Required qualifications: - A minimum of 5 years of professional coding experience. - Proficiency in developing full-stack web applications, with in-depth expertise in either frontend or backend development and a strong willingness to learn. - No specific programming language background is mandated as we believe exceptional engineers can rapidly adapt and excel. Bonus qualifications: - Some exposure to DevOps practices. - Previous involvement in projects collaborating with international teams. While a college degree is not mandatory, exceptional candidates possessing relevant diplomas will be duly considered for this role.,
