Senior Software Engineer Java FSD

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Optum, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications. Your work will focus on back-end development using Java/J2EE, and you should also have experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, or React. Additionally, you will leverage your cloud technology experience and SQL database expertise to build scalable, efficient, and secure solutions. **Primary Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications - Work across the full stack with a primary focus on back-end development using Java/J2EE - Utilize front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Angular.js or React.js as needed for client-side development - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features - Utilize cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform or similar) for application deployment, scaling, and management - Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability - Write well-designed, testable code that adheres to industry best practices - Troubleshoot production issues as part of a rotating on-call schedule - Perform code reviews to ensure code quality across the team - Manage SQL databases effectively including writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and ensuring data integrity **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field - 4 years of professional software development experience with a focus on full-stack development - Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript (and/or frameworks like Angular.js or React.js) - Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform or similar) - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) - Proficiency with SQL databases including database design principles and query optimization techniques - Proven solid proficiency in Java/J2EE for back-end development - Proven excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically - Proven solid communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment **Preferred Qualifications:** - Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Please note that the Company may adopt, vary or rescind policies and directives as per its discretion and business requirements.,
