Software Development Engineer in Test

We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer candidate with experience in, Java, Rest API and

Automation Testing to join our team in Bangalore.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering shared services.

You will participate in the testing effort of cloud enterprise software. You will test and critique

software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test programs to assure high

product quality and automate them using available frameworks.

Core Technology Group is responsible for building and delivering foundational technology for all

product offerings of Informatica, which include the Data Integration products, Informatica cloud, and

the Data Services

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Doy Essentials

• Design, create and use test automation frameworks and harnesses.

• Oversee the QA life cycle, from test planning to implementation, execution, and results

reporting

• Design and implement test cases in a rapid prototyping environment

• Perform and orchestrate multiple activities simultaneously

• Participate in all requirements, design, and architectural activities

• Work with the Development lead, Product Managers (PM), Global customer service,

Professional Services (IPS) to validate the solutions built for industry segments

• Participate in the Production deployments across all the cloud ecosystems (AWS, AZURE,

Google).

• Troubleshoot production issues and work with the team to design solutions.

• Ensure security, performance, and high availability of all environments by applying

Infrastructure as Code principles.

What We'd Like to See

• BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech. in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline from top tier

engineering schools

• 2-4 years of experience in testing and automation framework development

• Experience with REST based APIs testing, Java, Linux CLI and cloud-based applications.

• Experience on open-source technologies and knowledge on tools like Rest assured, Java,

TestNG, JMeter, Jenkin, Selenium

• Good scripting skills in bash and at least one of Python/ JavaScript.

• Experience with Cloud e.g. AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI ecosystem.

• Exposure to Java environments and microservices.

• Familiar with Agile development lifecycle and practices- CI/CD.

• TCP/IP and network administration, VPN, Firewalls.

• AWS resource management with CloudFormation and Terraform.

• Continuous integration with Chef and Flight plan creation

• Jenkins, Gradle, or other OSS CI tools.

• Knowledge of RDBMS e.g., Postgres. MySQL;

Role Essentials

• BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech. in Computer Science or equivalent educational background

• 2-4 years + in the SaaS product industry.
