Job Description

Shift: 3 PM to 1 AM Mandatory Skills: Java/C#/JavaScript/Scala Scala functional programming, RESTful, Microservices Design and implement robust back-end systems using Scala . Key Technical skills Back-end API Scala Play2 framework Typelevel ecosystem (Fs2, Cats Effect, Http4s) Database: Mongo DB Messaging: Kafka + Hermes Security/IdP: Okta Cloud/Deployment: AWS (primarily EC2), Kubernetes, Docker DevOps/CI-CD: JIRA, Github, Github actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD Work with product management and the development team to design, develop, and deliver features and enhancements. Collaborate closely with peers to develop clean code: readable, testable, high quality, performant, and secure. Develop code using pair and team programming approaches. Develop APIs that are reliable and efficient for consumption by front-end applications. Optimize application performance through profiling and tuning of database queries. Perform peer code reviews and walk-throughs. Automate testing and deployment of software to enable delivering improvements to customers on a regular cadence. Work closely with the agile team to innovate and improve everything. Stay updated with industry trends regarding best practices in back-end technologies.
