Role Overview: Join our innovative and fast-paced team as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Ruby. You will be based in Downtown Chicago, contributing to the development of software that empowers litigation professionals to efficiently filter through vast amounts of documents using advanced techniques and artificial intelligence. Your work will focus on addressing complex challenges such as data visualization, machine learning, distributed systems, large databases, and large-scale data processing. Key Responsibilities: - Step into the users' shoes to create elegant interfaces for controlling a complex product. - Collaborate with the Product team to define current and future possibilities. - Define reusable patterns and best practices in collaboration with the team. - Provide support and troubleshoot customer interface issues. - Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code in Ruby and React. - Share knowledge with the team and showcase your work across the organization. - Keep abreast of new technologies and adapt quickly to emerging tools and frameworks. Qualifications Required: - Strong proficiency in Rails, React, CSS, and Material UI. - Ability to develop solutions with a focus on end-user usability and correctness. - Excellent collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Curiosity-driven with a passion for exploring new technologies and techniques. Additional Company Details: The office is conveniently located in the heart of the loop with easy access to major public transportation lines. Please note that this role requires full in-person attendance with a traditional five-day work week schedule. Education & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience. - Minimum of 7 years of experience with client-side technologies and API design and interaction, with hands-on experience in Rails.
