Senior Risk Technology Architect

The team you will be joining develops and supports a strategic platform that calculates, manages, and stores intra-day and EOD risk data for front office trading using cutting-edge technologies such as Microsoft Orleans and NET8. Your role will provide you with the opportunity to engage with our trading, quants, and sales teams in an agile manner, allowing you to learn the vital role that risk plays across a range of commodities, financial and physical products. You will also have the chance to gain experience in real-time pricing and risk techniques. As our business has expanded in recent years, we have initiated an ambitious re-engineering program across our application estate. This involves retiring applications, modernizing, and rationalizing our technology stack to enable quicker time-to-market for new products and faster trading capabilities driven by technology. Your role as an AVP level Architecture Developer within the Commodities Technology Front Office Risk team will involve interfacing directly with traders and quants to gather and define business requirements. You will be expected to provide expertise in your area and possess advanced knowledge of applications programming to ensure that application design aligns with the overall architecture blueprint. Additionally, you will be responsible for contributing to the re-engineering, development, and enhancement of a wide range of risk management tools. Utilizing your advanced knowledge of system flow, you will develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation. Furthermore, you will be required to develop a comprehensive understanding of how different areas of the business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to achieve business goals. Your role will also involve providing in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions. To excel in this role, you should have expert skills in building Distributed Systems and extensive experience in designing and architecting Risk systems, preferably in .NET. You should demonstrate the ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate and consistently exhibit clear and concise written and verbal communication. Knowledge of Risk Systems, particularly in Front Office or downstream, preferably in Commodities, is also essential. Good understanding of Quant models and prior experience with Microsoft Orleans will be considered additional assets for this role. Ideally, you should have a degree or be university educated (masters preferred) or possess equivalent experience in a similar role.,
